(LOCATION: WHO FUCKING KNOWS)
“Damn. She’s still knocked out.”
“Good. The less restraint we get from her, the better. That bitch is crazy. How much longer until the warehouse?”
Faded voices begin to echo in out of her ears. Jamie laid on the floor of a windowless, white van. Sensing that both of the voices came from the two front seats, she slowly opened her eyes and was assured when she saw two shadowy figures sitting in the front.
What the fuck? Where am I?
It took a moment as her memory from just a couple of hours prior came flooding back. The last memory she had was another heated exchange with Incognito before Clay Burton knocked her out with probably chloroform and now she’s here. In the back of an empty van that smells like stale wood and piss. Careful not to make any noise, she moves her bound arms and winces when she felt tight plastic dig into her wrists as she carefully shifts her hands.
Fuck. Zip Ties.
She looks around to observe her surroundings.
Two shovels and a Bag of lye.
These motherfuckers are just gonna bury me out in the middle of fucking nowhere?! Typical bitch ass Incognito. Never has the balls to do the dirty work himself.
Will she be buried dead or alive? Who fucking knew. All she knows is that she needs to find a way to get out of her current situation and off these douchebags before they have a chance to decide what they’re going to do. Her mind immediately shifts to a pocket knife she keeps in her boot, but there was no way she was going to be able to retrieve it without drawing attention to the fact that she was awake. Before she had the chance to ponder of her next move, the van began to slow down.
“We’re here…”
“Fucking finally. I was started to become tempted to dump this bitch off a few miles back.”
The other man bellows out a laugh as he parks the van and they both get out. Footsteps, shadows, and their faded voices drifting further. The voices are quiet enough that she can’t hear everything they’re saying, but she hears enough to know that they’re finishing off discussing what to do with her and, possibly, where to dispose of her.Jamie takes this chance to sit up and try to reach down into the side of her boot. It didn’t take more than a few seconds for her to pull out her pocket knife. Once the blade pops out, she gets to work on sawing down the zip tie.
“I gotta take a shit. Go ahead and get her out.”
Just as she heard that, Jamie was able to break loose of the zip tie. She takes a second to rub her raw wrist when the door pops open. The man looks obviously caught off guard to see Jamie awake and untied, but then tries to lung at and grab her. Remembering that the shovel was just a short reach a way, she grabs for it, turns around swinging like she's Barry Bonds, and clocks him upside his head, instantly knocking him out. He wasn't very big so she pulls the rest of him into the van. First the first time in what felt like hours, she's finally able to get to her feet and stand above him. She quickly recognizes him as one of the many men who jumped her in the parking lot.
"Asshole."
She squats down and digs into his pockets pulling out a 9mm pistol and 2 sets of keys. While looting his pockets, a door is heard closing followed by footsteps and a voice.
“Hey, Dave….What time did Incognito say he was going to show up?”
He walks up to the van and sees him partner knocked out cold. His first instinct was to reach into his waistband, but before he could do so, the butt of a gun smashes into the back of his head, knocking him out and causing him to fall into the back of the van alongside his friend. Jamie repeated the previous action and frisked the second man's pockets, taking his gun and money. After she close the door to the van, she uses a conveniently placed crow bar to break handle. With the caged partition seperating the driver and passenger seat from the back area, she wanted to make it difficult as possible for them to escape once they regained consciousness.
As expected, her phone was nowhere to be found, but one of the things she removed from her kidnappers' pockets was their cell phone. She takes it out and quickly dials a number. It only took two rings.
“Hello?”
“Adriana!”
“....Jamie?!”
Bleep!
The call cut out. It wasn’t even a surprise considering she was in a warehouse in the middle of fucking nowhere. She curses under her breath while shoving the phone into her back pocket and begins to walk toward a bright yellow truck. Putting two and two together, she takes out the other pair of keys she snatched off one of the men. A small smirk forms on her face, but it quickly disappears when she gets close enough to the truck to see was the loud font displayed on the back of it.
She kinda smacks her lips and rolls her eyes in irritation. As much as she didn’t even want to be caught dead in what appeared to be the ugliest man child hot wheel toy truck she’s ever seen, what other option did she have? Incognito is supposedly on his way and there’s no denying that he was going to have Clay Burton with him. She had to swallow her pride and drive
this damn thing.
